This is a starting point to implement your own rest catalog. In this article, I did not show all the implementations about the rest catalog features like authentication and authorization because it is up to your production strategy. I also know tabular and nessie, which may not be suitable to your production needs. My commercial data lakehouse platform product called Chango provides iceberg rest catalog having such features like authentication and authorization for fine-grained data access control with catalog, schema and table level.
